Guide to Cleaning and Maintaining TPE Realistic Dolls
This guide is designed specifically for TPE dolls. Proper cleaning and maintenance are key to extending the lifespan of your doll and keeping it hygienic. Please refer to the following suggestions for operation.
Essential Tools for Cleaning and Maintenance
- Cleaning tools: Neutral or sulfate-free liquid soap, warm water, vaginal irrigator, soft microfiber cloth or sponge.
- Drying and Care: Soft dry towel or chamois cloth, cornstarch or baby powder, powder brush, mineral baby oil, Vaseline.
- Beauty and Touch-up: Wig comb, false eyelash glue, nail glue, makeup palette, or blush.
- Recommended Cleaning Frequency
- Before first use: Please clean thoroughly to remove any factory residues.
- After each use: It is recommended to immediately clean the doll’s internal channels and key areas.
- For daily storage: If not sealed against dust, it is recommended to clean it once a month.
- Expert-Recommended Cleaning Tips
- Make good use of condoms: Using male or female condoms can effectively prevent bodily fluids from entering the passage.
- Opt for a removable lining: Choose a model with a detachable liner for easier cleaning.
- Ventilation for rapid drying: After cleaning the interior, you can use a small fan or insert a cotton strip to help absorb moisture and facilitate drying.
- Suspending or laying the doll flat for powdering: It is easier to apply baby powder or skincare oil when the doll is suspended or laid flat.
- DIY Diluted Cleaning Spray: Mix soap and water in a 1:5 ratio in a small spray bottle; it is extremely practical for spot cleaning.
- Steps for Full-Body Cleansing and Bathing
- Initial wipe-down: First, use a clean, soft towel to wipe away excess lubricant or bodily fluids. Remove the insert to clean it separately; if there is a detachable channel component, take it out first.
- Wipe-down cleaning: Lay the doll flat on a bed covered with a towel, spray soapy water evenly using a spray bottle, and then gently wipe the surface using a microfiber cloth or sponge.
- Precautions for showering and bathing:
- The doll is slippery and heavy; it is recommended to place a plastic stool in the bathroom and sit while handling it to avoid slipping and falling while standing.
- Do not submerge the head and neck in water to prevent the internal metal framework from rusting or developing mold. You may wrap the joints with plastic bags and ensure that the metal bolts at the soles of the feet do not come into contact with water.
- Prohibitions: The use of abrasive soaps, hard sponges, steel wool, or standard household chemical cleaners is strictly prohibited.
Intimate canal cleansing (vaginal, anal, and oral)
- Rinsing: Use an irrigator to spray water deep into the passage and allow it to flow out naturally. If using a shower hose, ensure it is set to a low-pressure, gentle mode.
- Manual cleaning: You can also use a soft, damp cloth dipped in warm soapy water to reach inside and carefully clean every corner.
- Drying and Maintenance: After cleaning, slightly spread the legs apart to allow for natural air drying; do not overextend them, as this may cause the material to deform. Once completely dry, you may apply a small amount of Vaseline to the opening for protection.
- Facial and Head Cleansing
- Disassembly and cleaning: Remove the head and wig, then gently wipe the face with a sponge dipped in warm soapy water.
- Protecting Makeup and Eyes: Facial makeup may fade due to excessive rubbing or contact with oil. Do not allow water to come into contact with the eyes or eyelashes.
- Drying method: Gently pat dry with a cloth that will not scratch the skin, allow to air-dry naturally, and then reassemble onto the body.
- Strict prohibitions regarding the head: Never submerge the head in water, and do not use a hair dryer, hot air, or any heating equipment to dry it.
Strict Prohibitions Regarding Maintenance and Use
- The use of alcohol or perfume is strictly prohibited; alcohol-free products must be used, as alcohol causes TPE material to dry out, crack, and become damaged.
- The use of silicone-based lubricants is strictly prohibited, as they react chemically with TPE and cause the material to melt.
- The use of baby wipes or strong acidic/alkaline cleaning agents is strictly prohibited, as the ingredients in these wipes can damage the TPE structure.
- The use of heating equipment is strictly prohibited; do not place near radiators or sources of fire, and do not use a hot hair dryer to dry the item.
Drying and Anti-Sticking Care
- Pat-drying and air-drying: Pat dry with a clean cotton cloth, then place in a cool, well-ventilated area; a small cool-air fan may be used to accelerate the drying process.
- Applying Powder: Once the doll is completely dry, use a powder brush to lightly apply a layer of cornstarch or baby powder; this eliminates the tackiness of the TPE and protects the material. Avoid applying too much powder, as it can absorb the TPE’s natural oils and cause cracking.
- How to Wash a Wig
- Detangling before washing: Remove the wig before washing and detangle it by combing upwards, starting from the ends.
- Cold Water Wash: Fill a basin with cold water, add a small amount of sulfate-free shampoo, and gently wash the wig by kneading it while submerged; let it soak for about 5 minutes. Warm or hot water will ruin the curl pattern.
- Rinsing and Drying: Rinse with cold water in the direction of the hair until all foam is removed. Comb the hair straight, place it on a wig stand, and allow it to air dry naturally; do not dry the wig directly on the doll’s head.
Handling and Storage Guidelines
- Storage: Store at room temperature in a dry place away from light. Keep away from high temperatures, open flames, and direct sunlight; avoid humid or mold-prone environments such as bathrooms or garages. It is recommended to lay the item flat in its original packaging, a dedicated storage box, or on a memory foam mattress. Dust with cornstarch before long-term storage.
- Proper Handling: Keep your back straight and bend your knees when lifting or carrying the doll. Move the doll while holding it upright, with both arms wrapped around its waist; strictly avoid lifting it by pulling on its head or limbs.
- Reattaching the fingernail: Place the doll in a natural, flat position and align the detached nail. Ensure the nail surface is clean and free of dust, apply a very thin layer of nail glue, and press the nail firmly into place for 5 seconds. If any glue spills, immediately wipe it away using a microfiber cloth dampened with warm soapy water.
- Replacing the eyeball: Gently pull apart the upper and lower eyelids with one hand, taking care to avoid the eyelashes and makeup. With the other hand, remove the old eyeball, insert the new one into the socket, and adjust it to a natural angle.
- Re-attaching false eyelashes: Use the tip of a toothpick to pick up a small amount of eyelash adhesive and apply it to the back of the false eyelashes. Once the glue becomes slightly tacky, hold the ends of the lashes with tweezers and press them precisely onto the edge of the eyelid for 5 seconds.
